NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH STATE OF HAWAII DOCKET NO. 2021-11-219 Pursuant to 91-3 and 92-41, Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS), notice is hereby given that the State of Hawaii, Department of Health, Disability and Communication Access Board (DCAB) will hold a public hearing to receive testimony on the proposed amendments and compilation of existing rules, chapter 11-219, Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR), entitled “Parking for Persons with Disabilities.” The proposed amendments include changes to establish procedures to apply for a first time, renewal, or a replacement Disabled Paid Parking Exemption Permit, including replacement fees; exempt an employee parking space assigned to an employee from signage requirements; exempt a temporary accessible parking space defined as in use for seven or fewer days from striping requirements; and require the installation of a “No Parking Access Aisle” sign at access aisles located in parking facilities with four or less total parking spaces. The proposed amendments may also include housekeeping amendments to the rules and amendments, deletions, or additions suggested by oral or written testimony.
