NOTICE OF PUBLIC AUCTION OF AIRCRAFT FOR NONPAYMENT OF RENT ELLISON ONIZUKA KONA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AT KEAHOLE Notice is hereby given that the State of Hawai’i, Department of Transportation, Airports Division (“State”) shall dispose of a 1979 Piper PA-28-161 tail number N35789 (“aircraft”) located at Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole (“KOA”). The disposal shall be by public auction to the highest bidder. A. Time and Place of Auction. The Public Auction shall be conducted at the Management Office of KOA, 73-200 Kupipi Street, Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i 96740-2645, on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 10:00AM. B. General Description and Location of the Aircraft. The aircraft is a 1979 Piper PA-28-161, tail number N35789. The State has not made any inspection of the aircraft, and the aircraft is sold AS-IS, WHERE IS. C. Pre-Auction Inspection. The aircraft will be available for inspection by prospective bidders and their mechanics, by appointment only, after Monday, February 14, 2022. The minimum upset price for the aircraft shall be ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($1,000.00), or the highest bid, whichever is higher. The minimum upset price is to be paid to the State by the successful bidder by cash or check at the hammer drop. The balance over and above the minimum upset price shall be paid to the State within one working day from the date of the sale. The successful bidder will also be subject to the daily transient parking fee of $10 for each day after the auction that the plane remains at KOA. He or she will be obligated to apply for a parking permit within 30 days if the plane remains parked at KOA. E. Bidding. Any individual, corporation, limited liability company, partnership, joint venture or other entity bay bid at the Public Auction. F. The State reserves the right to cancel this Public Auction, or to postpone or continue same from time to time, as it may deem necessary, by publication of notice to that effect or by public announcement at the time scheduled therefore.
