Box 148 Kealakekua, Hawaii 96750 OPENING OF WAITLIST FOR AINAKEA SENIOR RESIDENCES Hawaii Affordable Properties, Inc., is pleased to announce that it will be accepting applications for Ainakea Senior Residences beginning: Monday, August 01, 2022 Application can be picked up and submitted to Ainakea Senior Residences at 53-3988 Ainakea Drive, Kapaau, Hawaii 96755. Applications must be thoroughly completed, signed and dated by one or both applicants that will be part of the household. Applications can also be mailed to you upon your request. Please call 808.884.5858 or 808.887.0243 and leave a thorough mailing address if you want the application to be mailed. Eligibility will be determined by the total gross income and household size all applicants must be 62 years of age). In general, the households’ income may not exceed 60 percent of the median income for Hawai’i County. 2022 HUD INCOME LIMITS Area Median Family Income (AMI) $81,275 Gross Annual Income must be at or below: Number of Household Members 1 2 Low (60%) AMI $40,020 $45,720 Prospective applicants on the waitlist will be selected chronologically by the date and time applications are received by Office Administration. Hawaii Affordable Properties, Inc., will contact the applicant family when it is time to begin the screening process. During the screening process, Hawaii Affordable Properties, Inc., will forward applications to Office of Housing and Community Development, collect and verify information on family income, assets, and family composition to determine eligibility. Hawaii Affordable Properties, Inc. will then do a final screening to complete eligibility.
