CALEB K. NAZARA Caleb Kekoa Nazara passed away on June 24, 2023. He was born in Kealakekua, Kona in 1971, and graduated from Konawaena High School. He was deeply immersed in Hawaiian culture, serving as a Kumu ‘Olelo Hawai’i (Hawaiian language teacher), a musician skilled in both contemporary and traditional Hawaiian music, caretaker with Na Oiwi Mauli Ola, Kona Hawaiian Civic Club President, lauhala weaver, a talented chef, and a devoted Minister of the Hau’oli Kamana’o Church in Miloli’i, Hawai’i and Da Church, Embassy of Heaven, where he held online weekly Bible studies at this church with no walls, fostering spiritual growth in his daily walk. He was this and so much more! He is survived by his mother, Viola Nazara; his sisters: Eldora Gatchell, Tina Gannett, Verna Young; and brothers: Domingo Nazara Jr., Joel Nazara, Abel Nazara, Jeffery “Jay Jay” Kapele Nazara, Chris Nazara, and numerous nieces, nephews, stepchildren and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Cynthia Nazara, his father, Domingo Nazara, Sr., and his sister, Eda Hinchcliff.
