NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
The Department of Transportation (HDOT), Motor Vehicle Safety Office, Highway Safety will hold a statewide Microsoft Teams public hearing with an in-person host site on Oahu to collect testimony on proposed amendments to the:
Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR) chapter 19-123 to update and modernize curriculum, instructor and documentation requirements, and ensure consistency with industry standards.
Interested persons are urged to participate in the public hearing to present relevant information and individual opinions for DLNR to consider. There are three ways to participate: online via internet or telephone; in-person at the designated host site; or by written testimony.

1). In-person Testimony
Interested persons who wish to provide in-person testimony but do not have the equipment in which to participate in the November 16, 2023 public hearing video conference, accommodations will be made available at the following location: State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Highway Safety Section: 98-339 Ponohana Place; Aiea, HI 96701.
2). Written Testimony
Interested persons are invited to present their views on the proposed rules at the public hearing or by mail, email or fax.
Written comments will be accepted through November 13, 2023, at the following address: Hawaii Department of Transportation, Motor Vehicle Safety Office, Highway Safety Section: 98-339 Ponohana Place; Aiea, HI 96701.
