NOTICE TO BIDDERS INVITATION FOR BID Kona Residential Housing Renovations Sealed Bids for furnishing all tools, equipment, materials and labor necessary for the construction of Hale Alanoe for renovations of a single family residence at 75-5752 Alanoe Place, Kailua Kona, HI 96740 Sealed Bids will be received by Mental Health Kokua, 1221 Kapiolani Blvd Ste 345, Honolulu, HI 96814, until December 13, 2023, at 4:00 pm. Bids received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. Bids will be evaluated on the basis of the total contract amount including State of Hawaii General Excise Taxes. A Pre-Bid meeting will be conducted at the Project Site on November 22, 2023 at 9am (Time HST). This meeting is not mandatory. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is not a condition for submitting a bid, but the meeting is an opportunity to ask questions about contractual requirements and all technical aspects of the project. To be eligible to submit a bid, the Bidder must possess a valid State of Hawaii, Contractor’s License and Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number through Sam.gov. The project consists of the construction at Hale Alanoe, 75-5752 Alanoe Street, Kailua-Kona as follows: add 16×24 finished addition, relocate work space, renovate kitchen, add flooring, relocate washer and dryer in doors all in accordance with the plans and specifications. An unique and confidential link will be provided to interested bidders for access to the plans and bid submittals. The project is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant Program. Attention of the prospective bidders is particularly called to the requirements which will obligate the contractor and subcontractors to comply in all respects with the regulations, policies, guidelines and requirements as described in the Contract Documents including contract provisions regarding Equal Opportunity, Non-discrimination in Employment, Small and Minority firms, Women Business Enterprise, Section 3, Executive Order 11246 as amended, or Equal Employment Opportunity, Inspection and Retention of Records.
