The information gathered from these public meetings will be used to help shape the goals and priorities for the FY2024-25 AHP funding cycle. Additionally, input received will be considered for the upcoming 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan (CP) for the use of future federal funds. The OHCD encourages its citizens, especially persons of low- and moderate-income, minorities, non-English speaking persons, and persons with disabilities to participate in these public meetings.

The OHCD is required to have an approved 2025-2029 CP in order to receive federal assistance from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnerships (HOME), National Housing Trust Fund (HTF), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Programs. The CP describes the needs, priorities, and funding plans for the next 5-year period (2025-2029), addressing housing, community development, and homeless needs of low- and moderate-income families to improve the availability and affordability of decent, safe, and sanitary housing in a suitable living environment.

Persons requiring special accommodation may contact the OHCD at V/TT 808-961-8379 at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the hearings so proper arrangements can be made.
