Amy Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden Notice Notice of proposed installation of handicapped accessibility improvements at the Amy B.H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden and a First Amendment to the (USDA) Community Forest Management Plan dated March 2020. In furtherance of the Garden’s mission to provide public access including handicapped access for the purpose of education and recreation, etc., the Garden is pleased to announce receipt of funding from the County of Hawaii, Public Access, Open Space and Natural Resources Preservation Fund for better access at the entrance to the Garden and to the newly renovated Hale ‘o Pulelehua (former Amy Greenwell House). The improvements comprise paving the uphill ramp at the main entrance, adding two connecting trail segments for access to Hale ‘o Pulelehua, and a ramp for ADA bathroom accessibility at Hale ‘o Pulelehua.
