DR. EDWIN PAYSON GRAMLICH, M.D. Dr. Edwin Payson Gramlich, M.D., 91, of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, passed away at home on June 19, 2024. Born on August 17, 1932 in Naturita, Colorado, he was a Retired Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy, an Obstetrician/ Gynecologist at West Hawaii Gynecology, a Psychiatrist at Kona Community Hospital, a former Kona Community Hospital Board Member, a professor at John A. Burns School of Medicine, an associate editor of ‘Behavioral and Social Science in Medicine’ book (publishing in 2025), was President of Captain Cook Coffee Company, An OHSU Alumni and he also served as a Psychosomatic Medicine Consultant. He is survived by his wife, Trudy Teshima-Gramlich of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; son, Mark (Mary) Gramlich of Medford, Oregon; daughter, Noelani (Justin) Greene of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; daughter-in-law, T. Mary Gramlich of Ookala, Hawaii; brothers, Jim Gramlich of Kona, Hawaii and Stanley (Tina) Gramlich of Ogden, Utah; sisters, Mona Belmore of Portland, Oregon and Marilyn (Dale) Crutcher of Rosalia, Washington; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grand- children, numerous nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
