Public Notice As part of the Installation Restoration Program and Military Munitions Response Program, the United States Army Garrison-Hawaii (USAG-HI) is soliciting public interest in forming a Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) for sites that are administratively associated with Kilauea Military Reservation and Pohakuloa Training Area on the Island of Hawaii, Hawaii. The purpose of a RAB is to promote community involvement in the Army’s local environmental restoration efforts. RABs provide the public the opportunity to regularly review progress and engage decision makers on the restoration of previously used sites. Every two years the Army solicits public interest in establishing a RAB for these sites. This solicitation is part of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act process, as required by the Defense Environmental Restoration Program. If you are interested in participating in a RAB for these installations or would like additional information, please contact the USAG-HI Directorate of Public Works, Mr. Whit Somerall, at, Army-HI-IRP-MMRP@army.mil between September 20 and October 20, 2024.
