Bill 53: Amends Ordinance No. 23-50, as Amended, the Operating Budget for the County of Hawai’i for the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2024. Appropriates revenues in the Federal Housing and Urban Development – Community Project Funding Kukuiola account ($10,000,000); and appropriates the same to the following Housing and Urban Development – Community Project Funding Kukuiola programs: Program account ($9,500,000) and Administration account ($500,000). Ayes: Council Members Evans, Galimba, Kagiwada, Kaneali’i-Kleinfelder, Kierkiewicz, Lee Loy, Villegas, and Chair Kimball – 8; Noes: None; Absent: Council Member Inaba – 1; Excused: None.

Bill 54: Amends Ordinance No. 23-50, as Amended, the Operating Budget for the County of Hawai’i for the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2024. Appropriates revenues in the Hawai’i Community Foundation – Financial Empowerment Services (Private) account ($200,000); and appropriates the same to the Hawai’i Community Foundation – Financial Empowerment Services – Program account. Ayes: Council Members Evans, Galimba, Kagiwada, Kaneali’i-Kleinfelder, Kierkiewicz, Lee Loy, Villegas, and Chair Kimball – 8; Noes: None; Absent: Council Member Inaba – 1; Excused: None.

Bill 55: Amends Ordinance No. 23-50, as Amended, the Operating Budget for the County of Hawai’i for the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2024. Increases revenues in Federal Grants – High Intensity Impact Grant account ($27,100); and appropriates the same to the High Intensity Impact Grant account. Ayes: Council Members Evans, Galimba, Kagiwada, Kaneali’i-Kleinfelder, Kierkiewicz, Lee Loy, Villegas, and Chair Kimball – 8; Noes: None; Absent: Council Member Inaba – 1; Excused: None.

Bill 56 (Draft 2): Amends Chapter 2, Article 47, of the Hawai’i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as Amended), Relating to the Appropriation of Disaster Relief Funds for Damages, Losses, and Suffering Caused by the 2018 Kilauea Eruption. To establish standards for the appropriation of disaster relief funds that the County received, or may receive, for the purpose of providing relief, recovery, mitigation, and long-term resilience for disaster damages, losses, and suffering caused by the 2018 Kilauea eruption. Ayes: Council Members Evans, Galimba, Kagiwada, Kaneali’i-Kleinfelder, Kierkiewicz, Lee Loy, and Chair Kimball – 7; Noes: None; Absent: Council Members Inaba and Villegas – 2; Excused: None.
