DATE OF SALE – January 8, 2026
Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 19, Article 5, Sections 19-37 through 19-45 of the Hawai'i County Code, 155 properties will be offered for sale at a public auction on Thursday, January 8, 2026. The auction will be held at the Edith Kanaka'ole Multi-Purpose Stadium, 350 Kalanikoa Street, Hilo, Hawai'i, beginning at 9:00 A.M.
A list of properties to be offered for sale will be posted at the County Building (25 Aupuni Street, Hilo), State Building (75 Aupuni Street, Hilo), Real Property Tax Division (Aupuni Center, 101 Pauahi Street, Suite 4, Hilo), and the Kona Real Property Tax Division (West Hawai'i Civic Center, 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, Building D, 2nd Floor, Kailua-Kona). The list of properties may be reviewed upon request at the Main Post Office (Hilo Airport). Also, the list is posted at the County of Hawai'i web site at http://www.hawaiicounty.gov/finance-real-property-tax/
You may also obtain a list of properties to be offered for sale at either the County Real Property Tax Division located at Aupuni Center, 101 Pauahi Street, Suite 4, Hilo, Hawai'i, or West Hawai'i Civic Center, 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, Building D, 2nd Floor, Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i. A fee will be charged to obtain copies of the tax sale list, title reports, and/or inspection reports. To obtain information, you must inquire in person.

The Department of Water Supply will be conducting a fire hydrant flow test along Kealakehe Parkway within the Honokohau Harbor property between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. (midnight) on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
The affected area may experience slightly discolored and turbid water for several hours after the test. Customers are advised to refrain from washing clothes and to store a container of water for their drinking needs until the supply of water is restored to normal.
Please pardon this temporary inconvenience. Should you experience any unusual problems during or after the flushing period, please call Mr. Joshule Johnston or
Mr. Dustin Kaneta-Ogata, District Supervisors, at (808) 322-0600.
